Research Trip #02

We had an amazing and inspiring time at Westonbirt Arboretum last Sunday. Jo Hounsome came with us and she's sent through some pictures of us taking pictures. Some of these are of us filming the Yew trees releasing pollen which was incredible. (The video is posted two down). Thank you Jo Ho.

So, two days in to the Cheltenham Festival, and the stakes are unfortunately down. BUT there's things in the offing. Today was Ladies Day, and though we were let down by Harry the Viking and Cool George (who was pulled up at the top of the hill) our spirits aren't too dampened.
Looking forward to what tomorrow may bring (Alberta's Run among others) and keeping fingers crossed for our treble on the Gold Cup later in the week. We would like to say we'll be updating after tomorrow's meeting, but Harry is watching the racing in the pub with uncle Chris et al. We asked him to get Chris to text through some updates (Harry doesn't do texting), but he said "we're having a few drinks and lunch and putting money on the table". Which we think translates as they'll be having too much 'fun' to keep us posted. So, we'll have to wait until the morning after for the verdict.
